Designed for job-shop gundrilling
With a gundrilling diameter range of 0.039 to 0.75 inches (1.0 to 19.1 mm), the Eldorado M75 is more versatile and can handle a majority of the applications a job shop will encounter. It also has slide travel options up to 48 inches (1219 mm) long, allowing the machine to tackle the most challenging deep hole jobs.
The M75 can be configured with one or two drilling spindles. Twin-spindle models feature independent spindle control, which allows the machine to perform two independent drilling cycles at the same time. A separate 7 inch (178 mm) full-color control screen is installed on both sides of the machine to enable the operator to take full advantage of the independent spindle flexibility. The M75 utilizes a Microsoft Windows®-based controls package.
The M75 also utilizes counter-rotation of the workpiece, which rotates the part in the opposite direction of the gundrill. This improves the accuracy of the gundrilling operation. Various counter-rotation and workpiece fixturing options are available. Other features include a 2,500 psi (170 bar) coolant system with a Flo-Minder flow monitor to ensure consistent coolant control.
